We kicked off the first event in our inaugural Food for Thought series with News Corp Australia and The Marketing Academy, bringing together a small (but mighty) group at the Ace Hotel in Sydney for a conversation between advertising legend Sir John Hegarty and The Growth Distillery GM Leigh Lavery.
Hearing Sir John speak so openly about the state of the industry was a timely reminder that creativity is not just a craft. It is a real commercial advantage.
His perspective was simple. We may be entering the “creativity age”, yet we still are not investing in creativity itself. In a world of scale, scroll and constant output, the challenge remains the same. Champion the idea. Protect the brand. Back the work that lasts.
